> Travel Documents
Ensure your passport is valid for six months after the date of your holiday. Please, remember a visa is required to enter The United Republic of Tanzania.
> Baggage
Whilst the normal economy allowance on international airlines is 20kg, when travelling in light aircraft it is 10kg. Small dust-proof holdalls, rather than hard rimmed suitcases are most practical on safari.
> Clothing
Should be kept to a minimum on safari, with light casual clothes. Laundry facilities are available throughout. A recommended list of what to take with you will be given to you prior to departure, with a note of any formal clothing requirements.
> Insurance
It is compulsory that you take out comprehensive travel insurance for the duration of your trip. This cover can be provided on request.
> Currency
Most hotels and lodges accept Travelers cheque. Many of the camps do not, however, accept travellers cheque, so it is advisable to take cash (US$ or GB pounds).
> Airport Departure Tax
Is payable on departure from some countries and varies from US$20.00 to US $40.00 pp. This should be paid in cash.
> Inoculations
Malaria prophylaxis and in Tanzania yellow fever, cholera or smallpox are required.
> Electricity
Bring an adaptor plug for hotels and lodges. Some camps do not have electricity and are either solar or generator powered.
